Terms of Service

This site (usedmercedesparts.co.za) is operated by Mercedes Spares Scrap Yard, a South African Mercedes-Benz strip yard at 67 Tulip Road, R114 Monavoni, Centurion, Gauteng, 0183. Where these terms refer to "we" or "us", they refer to Mercedes Spares Scrap Yard.

This site is a parts catalogue and quote request channel — it is not a direct-sale storefront. No order is placed by browsing or by submitting an enquiry. A binding sale only comes into existence when:

• We respond to your enquiry with a written quote (email, WhatsApp or SMS) confirming the part, condition, price and delivery method.
• You accept the quote in writing.
• You pay the agreed amount (or the agreed deposit) in cleared funds.

Until all three steps have happened, we reserve the right to withdraw any quote — for example if stock has been sold to another customer in the interim.

Prices shown on the catalogue are indicative starting prices in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude shipping unless stated. The exact price for your part is confirmed in the written quote. We do our best to keep listings accurate, but cannot warrant that every catalogue entry matches every build variant — fitment is confirmed at quote stage.

Pricing errors and stock errors do happen on a 1,000+ part catalogue. If a quoted price is materially incorrect (more than ±10% from the catalogue display) we reserve the right to re-quote within 48 hours; if you have already paid, we refund the difference or the full amount at your election.

Once a sale is confirmed (per section 2 above), we dispatch the part from our Centurion yard via courier (Courier Guy, Aramex or DSV) or release it for collection. The supplier (Mercedes Spares Scrap Yard) is the seller of record and issues the tax invoice.

Delivery times shown on the Shipping page are indicative and not guaranteed. Couriers are independent contractors — we're not liable for delays caused by courier failure, load-shedding, weather, or any cause outside our reasonable control.

Every used part we supply is covered by the warranty terms set out in our Warranty Policy (3 months on tested used; 6 or 12 months on refurbished tiers). The warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the Used Goods regulations and does not replace them.

Wrong-fit returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery provided the part is in the same condition we sent it. We refund or credit at your election. Original freight is not refunded on no-fault returns. Warranty-replacement freight is covered by us in both directions.

Ownership and risk in the part transfer to you on dispatch (couriered orders) or on collection (yard collection). We strongly recommend insuring shipments above R 5 000 — our standard rate already includes insurance for shipments over that threshold.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of a part we supplied is limited to the invoice value of that part. We are not liable for consequential losses — including but not limited to workshop labour, hire-car costs, lost income, lost wages, towing, or downtime — unless required by the Consumer Protection Act.

When you use this site you agree:

• Not to submit false or misleading enquiry information.
• Not to attempt to scrape, mirror or copy the catalogue for use on another site.
• Not to introduce malware or attempt to disrupt the site.
• To comply with all applicable South African laws when installing or using the parts you buy from us — including roadworthy and registration requirements.

The site layout, content, code, brand marks, photographs and generated catalogue imagery are the property of Mercedes Spares Scrap Yard or licensed to us. Mercedes-Benz, model names, chassis codes and OEM part numbers are the property of Mercedes-Benz AG and are used here for the descriptive purpose of identifying compatible used parts only.

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. By submitting a quote you consent to our processing of that information for the purpose of fulfilling your enquiry.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or any sale concluded under them is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the date of the most recent update. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
