The OM651 is Mercedes-Benz's 4-cylinder common-rail diesel produced from 2008, available in 1.8L and 2.1L forms with single or two-stage turbocharging. It powers virtually every 4-cylinder diesel Mercedes from 2008-2018 across passenger cars and Sprinter vans. Pre-2015 units suffer from rear-mounted timing chain wear and Delphi injector issues; later units are markedly improved.
