M2711.6L / 1.8L Petrol
The M271 is a 4-cylinder petrol engine produced from 2002 to 2015, available initially as a supercharged Kompressor and later as a direct-injection turbocharged unit. It powered the bulk of entry-level petrol C-, E- and SLK-Class models, but is best known for its timing chain wear, which became the subject of a class action in some markets.
