The M177 is AMG's 4.0L hot-V biturbo V8, with the turbochargers nestled inside the V for improved throttle response and packaging. Produced from 2014 onwards, it powers the modern 63 AMG range from C63 through G63. It is the replacement for the M157 in passenger applications and delivers up to 630 hp in S63 E Performance hybrid form. Hand-built at AMG Affalterbach under the 'One Man, One Engine' philosophy.
